Dose Response 0.8

gamedev, announcement

A new version of Dose Response has been released! Dose Response is an open-world-ish roguelike where you play an addict.

This release has seen some (hopefully invisible) engine changes. However, the Web-based now uses the WebGL technology. The native and browser versions should now look and feel identical.

We’ve also fixed some text rendering issues in the help pages, added a new help screen describing what Dose Response and roguelikes are in general.

And lastly, this has a few minor bug fixes and gameplay changes.

Here’s a screenshot of a pretty lucky run (I got the bonus that uncovers the entire map):

(of course, I threw it away by making a stupid mistake)

Play it!

You can visit the Dose Response game page to download the game or try it directly in your browser.
