The Ankh-Morpork City watch must now reflect the ethnic makeup of the city, so they get three new recruits: a dwarf, a troll and a woman. As the dwarf/troll racial tensions rise, the watch investigates a string of suspicious murders.
Men at Arms is a wonderful book — again, one of the Discworld’s absolute best. All the new Watch characters are absolutely delightful, the humour flows and so does the plot. It is much darker than Guards! Guards!, though.
Oh and once again, it’s got a wonderful ending.
